This policy explains what personal information Fairfield collects, why, who can see it, and the choices and rights you have.

Last updated 29 October 2026

The short version

  • ✓We collect only what we need to run your account, pay you and prevent fraud.
  • ✓Clients who order tasks never see your name, email address or phone number.
  • ✓We never sell your information and we don't show you adverts.
  • ✓We use only essential cookies: to keep you signed in, to remember a referral link, and to keep a live chat open.
  • ✓You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing support@fairfieldgh.com.

This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.

01Who we are

Fairfield is run by Fairfield Solutions, Accra, Ghana. We are the “data controller” for your personal information, which means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for protecting it under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

02What we collect

We collect information you give us and a small amount of information created when you use Fairfield:

Account details

Your name and email address, your referral code, who referred you (if anyone) and any promo code you used. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google tells us only your name and your confirmed email address: we don't receive your Google password, contacts or anything else in your Google account.

Task submissions

Your answers, the photos, screenshots, videos and voice recordings you send, how long you spent on each task, and whether you opened the link for an app or website test. For field visits only, your phone's location at the moment you press “check in” at the site.

Live chat

The messages, pictures and files you send our team in live chat (including a photo of your Ghana Card, if we ask to see it to confirm your name), your answers to any forms in the chat (including what you agreed to), your name if you give it, the page you started the chat from, and whether your chat window is open, so our team knows if you are still there.

Payout details

Your Mobile Money network and number, and the name your network has registered for that number (we look it up through Paystack).

When you were last active

When you last used Fairfield while signed in, to within a few minutes. Only our team sees it (to know whether you are online when helping you, and to spot accounts no longer in use); other members never do.

Money records

Every credit and debit in your wallet, and your withdrawal requests and payments.

Security information

A scrambled (hashed) version of your internet (IP) address, sign-in codes (stored only in scrambled form), visits to referral links, and a record of important account actions.

We resize photos in your browser before uploading them, which usually removes hidden information stored in the image, such as location data. We don't collect your phone contacts, and we don't track what you do on other websites.

03How and why we use it

We use your information only for these purposes:

  • To run your account and pay you: signing you in, showing you tasks, recording your earnings and sending withdrawals. We need this to provide the service you signed up for.
  • To deliver work to clients: sharing your task answers and photos, without your identity, with the client who ordered the task.
  • To make sure payments reach you: when you add your Mobile Money number, and before your first payout to it, we ask your network, through Paystack, whose name the number is registered in, and check it matches your Fairfield name. If the number belongs to someone else, we show you only their initials. This protects your earnings from being sent to the wrong person.
  • To prevent fraud and keep Fairfield fair: spotting duplicate accounts, self-referrals, rushed answers and suspicious withdrawals. We have a legitimate interest in this, and it protects honest members.
  • To keep financial records: as required by Ghanaian law.
  • To contact you about your account, for example sign-in codes, withdrawal updates and important changes. We don't send marketing messages unless you've agreed to receive them.
  • To answer your live chat questions: our assistant answers general questions about Fairfield, and may use an AI service to write its replies or to suggest replies to our team (see below). Questions about your own account or money always go to a person.
  • To share Fairfield news: notifications in your account, and occasionally by email. You can turn news emails off at any time on your Notifications page; emails about your account still come.

04What clients see

When a client receives the results of a task, each response is labelled with a random ID that is different for every task. Clients don't receive your name, email address, phone number or Mobile Money details. Answers to rejected submissions aren't shared.

Your answers themselves may reveal things about you, for example your opinions or your area. Videos and voice recordings may reveal your face or voice, so record only what the task asks for. Clients receive recordings without your name. Tasks say clearly what they ask for. You can always choose not to do a task.

For field visits, clients see which site was visited and how far from it you checked in, never your own location. Your check-in location is seen only by our review team, to confirm the visit. We only ask for your location when you press “check in” or “nearest first”, never in the background.

05Who we share it with

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers who run parts of Fairfield for us, such as website hosting, our database, email delivery and photo storage. They can use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Our payment provider, Paystack, and Mobile Money operators, when we send your withdrawals or a client pays us, and to check the name a Mobile Money number is registered in. Paystack processes these payments for us and may store payment details outside Ghana.
  • An AI service (currently Google's Gemini), which helps our assistant write live chat replies. We send it only the recent messages of that chat, with email addresses and phone and Mobile Money numbers removed first, and never your name or account details. The provider may keep these messages, use them to improve its services and have its staff review them, under its own terms, so please don't write private details in live chat.
  • Clients, who receive task results without your identity (see above).
  • Authorities, when the law requires it or to prevent or report fraud or crime.
  • A new owner, if Fairfield is ever sold or merged. They would have to protect your information in the same way.

We never sell your personal information.

Some notifications include a YouTube video. Its preview picture comes from YouTube, and the video plays only if you tap it, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube (Google) then sees your internet address and device details, under its own privacy policy. We don't share your name or email with YouTube.

06Storage outside Ghana

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Ghana, for example in Europe or the United States. When that happens, we use providers who protect data to a standard at least as strong as Ghanaian law requires, and we share only what they need.

07Cookies

We use only a few cookies, and all are essential:

  • Sign-in cookie: keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, or until you log out.
  • Live chat cookie: set only when you start a chat, so this browser can keep showing your conversation (and you can see the files you sent) for up to 30 days.
  • Referral cookie: if you arrive through a friend's referral link, it remembers their code for up to 30 days so they get credit when you join.
  • Google sign-in cookies: if you use “Continue with Google”, two short-lived cookies make sure Google's answer belongs to the sign-in you started. They last at most 30 minutes.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you play a YouTube video in a notification, YouTube may set its own cookies while it plays.

08How long we keep it

  • Account details: while your account is open. After you close it, we delete or anonymise them, except for anything we must keep for the reasons below.
  • Task answers and photos: for as long as we need them to deliver the work to the client and handle any questions about it, then we delete them or remove anything that identifies you.
  • Money records (earnings, withdrawals and payments): for as long as Ghanaian tax and accounting law requires.
  • Payment screenshots from businesses paying for a campaign: deleted 90 days after the payment is confirmed (a year if we suspect fraud). The payment's transaction details and receipt are kept as money records.
  • Live chat messages and files: deleted as soon as the chat ends, or automatically after a period without messages (usually a day).
  • Sign-in codes stop working after 10 minutes.

09How we protect it

  • Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Sign-in codes and internet addresses are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
  • Task photos are private. Only you and authorised Fairfield staff can view them.
  • Staff access depends on their role, and important actions, such as approving payments, are logged.
  • Changes to your Mobile Money details trigger an email alert and a short security pause on withdrawals.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach puts your information at risk, we'll tell you and the Data Protection Commission as the law requires.

10Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that's wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example money records);
  • stop using your information for a particular purpose, where you have the right to object.

Email support@fairfieldgh.com from the address linked to your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we aim to reply within 14 days.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

11Children

Fairfield is only for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has joined, please tell us and we'll close the account.

12Changes to this policy

If we make important changes to this policy, we'll tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Please also read our terms of use.
