Translation

Your English sentences written in a Ghanaian language, a few per person. Ask up to three people per sentence and compare their versions.

Read-aloud recordings

People read your sentences aloud in their own voice and accent: material for speech recognition, voice assistants and audio guides.

Spoken answers

Ask questions and hear the answers spoken in Twi, Ga or Hausa, from people who'd rather talk than type.

Checking translations

Already have translations? Show them to speakers and ask them to mark each one right or wrong, as a labelling job.

Testing your local-language app

Launched in Twi or Ewe? Speakers try it on their phones and tell you which words sound wrong or unnatural.

Messages that land

Check an advert, a health message or a jingle line with people who speak the language before you print it.

Questions

Before you ask us

Are the translators professionals?

No. They're members who speak the language in daily life, which is what you want for natural, everyday language and voices. For legal or medical documents, use a certified translator.

Which languages can you do?

Twi, Fante, Ga, Ewe, Dagbani and Hausa are the ones people ask for most, and members can take jobs in many more. Tell us the language and we'll tell you honestly if we can fill it.

People spell Twi differently. What will I get?

People write the way they write. If you need a particular spelling, say so in the instructions, and ask two or three people per sentence so you can compare and pick the best.

How long can each recording be?

Each clip is short, around 20 seconds by default, and we can allow up to a minute for longer passages. People record straight from their phone's browser.

Can I use the recordings for training AI?

Yes. Your results are yours to use. Members are told plainly before they record and choose whether to take the job; recordings carry an anonymous ID, not a name.
